Google Business Profile Permissions & Data Use

This page explains how Medareview Pty Ltd (“Medareview”, “we”, “us”, “our”) accesses and uses Google Business Profile data when you choose to connect your Google account to our services.

Medareview is an Australian business based in Queensland and provides review response and reputation support services to businesses across Australia.

What Google Business Profile Data We Access
If you authorise access, Medareview may access the following Google Business Profile data:

• Business Profile account and location identifiers

• Customer reviews and star ratings for your locations

• Review reply status (e.g. whether a review has been replied to)

• The ability to post review replies on your behalf
   

We do not access personal Google account data unrelated to your business profile.

Why We Access This Data
We access Google Business Profile data only to provide our services, including:

• Viewing and managing customer reviews

• Drafting and posting professional review responses

• Supporting complaint resolution and customer retention

• Ensuring reviews are responded to accurately and promptly
   

Google Business Profile data is not used for advertising profiling or unrelated analytics.

Access Only With Customer Authorisation
Medareview accesses Google Business Profile data only with your explicit consent.

• You authorise access via Google’s secure OAuth consent screen

• Permissions are clearly displayed before approval

• You can revoke access at any time via your Google Account settings

• Once access is revoked, Medareview immediately stops accessing Google data
   

Connecting your account is optional and required only if you want us to manage Google reviews on your behalf.
We do not manipulate reviews

Medareview Does Not:

• Edit, delete, hide, or alter customer reviews

• Modify star ratings

• Suppress negative feedback
   

All reviews remain exactly as posted by customers. Our role is limited to responding in a professional and appropriate manner.
We do not create or buy reviews
Medareview strictly complies with Google’s review policies.

We Do Not:

• Create fake reviews

• Purchase reviews

• Incentivise customers to leave reviews

• Post reviews on behalf of customers
   

We only respond to genuine customer feedback.

No Selling Or Sharing Of Google Data

• We do not sell, rent, trade, or broker Google Business Profile data

• Google data is not shared with third parties for marketing or advertising

• Access is restricted to authorised systems and personnel only
   

Google data is used strictly to deliver the services you enable.

Data Security
We take reasonable steps to protect Google Business Profile data from misuse, loss, and unauthorised access, consistent with Australian privacy law.
